Description

The TD2000 Diffuser Sensor utilises the induced air flow generated by a four way blow diffuser. The theory of operation is well known but the practice has had limited success due to the supply air temperature being conducted to the sensor. This sensor is different in operation due to its unique thermal design. With the TD2000 sensor we can now accurately measure the average temperature in the room and not just the temperature at the wall. A specific advantage of this type of sensor is that it can be located in areas where columns or partitions are not available for normal mounting. It enables office reorganisation or tenancy variations to be made with a minimum of inconvenience. We would also recommend installing two or four averaging sensors in place of the usual one sensor. It should be noted that the efficiency of the sensor is seriously impaired if there is little air flow from the diffuser as there will be insufficient airflow induced. However, it still works well with VAV Systems provided the air velocity is not reduced to the point where the diffuser dumps. The TD4000 Diffuser Sensor is used where an average of two zones is required
